1. I am an 18 year old girl studying languages. Now you understand why I picked 18 things, beyond the fact that it is a low number and I am lazy.
2. I lived in California and Illinois, and now I'm in England.
3. Aurelie is not my real name, it comes from the song "Aurelie" by Wir Sind Helden.
4. I Love Wir Sind Helden. Also, Nena.
5. If you want to call me something else, call me Lena, which is pretty close to my real name and the alias I use on the internet most often.
6. I thought I was fairly good at math until I got to calculus. Then I died a slow death...but it probably wasn't a bad thing since I just stopped studying or doing homework for that class, which meant I had a lot more time on my hands.
7. I hate having my hands sticky, muddy, or otherwise dirty, and as a result I wash them almost all the time.
8. Unless the last one didn't tip you off, I can be kind of obsessive at times.
9. I am developing an addiction to Penguins. If you don't know what Penguins are, you are missing out. They are delicious chocolate-covered biscuits. Hobnobs are also good.
10. I have a Diet Coke addiction too.
11. I am kind of scared of alcohol, mostly because I've seen it do bad things to people in my family.
12. I like rainy days.
13. I am an only child but have about a gazillion lovely first cousins who make up for it.

12. My favourite movies are The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Also, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, and Nowhere in Africa.
13. I am a master procrastinator.
14. I sing to myself. Out of tune. A lot.
15. I am Very Liberal.
16. I love postcards.
17. My memory is awful. Except for things that are in words, like song lyrics or passages from books. I can remember those pretty much photographically, but ask me what I did yesterday, and I won't know.
18. I worked in a stationery store and am now a pen snob. I adore Varsity disposable fountain pens, and the good gel pens. I refuse to write in pencil (unless very-hard pressed) because I don't like the scratchy feel of it, and I use crappy pens with great sadness.
